Welcome to the Apostle’s Pen Blog!!!

This Blog was created to release the Apostolic Mantle by fulfilling Ephesians 4:12-13, which states:

His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church), [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.” (AMP)

Absolute Zero

February 20, 2011

Sometimes we have a tendency that when we receive a breakthrough from God or an answered prayer to slack off or “pull up” a little bit. Then after a while we find ourselves in a place that we can tell something is wrong but can’t put our finger on it. Then it would progress such that it seems that we are in a free fall and you don’t know how to get out of it. Then you question yourself asking, “How did I get here?”

It is in the slacking or pulling up, thinking we can take a breather or break, that tares can be planted unknowingly such that we end up back at that same question, “How did I get here?” I was at this point asking God this very same question and He spoke just two words to me…

Absolute Zero

So I looked up these two words in Webster’s Online Dictionary and this is what I found:

Absolute: free or relatively free from mixture: pure

Zero: the arithmetical symbol 0 or ø denoting the absence of all magnitude or quantity; a state of total absence or neutrality

God desires us to be at Absolute Zero, meaning that we are pure and absence of all magnitude or quantity. It’s called Bride of Christ without spot or blemish.

When you look at Zero from an arithmetical point of view you can have a sequence of numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, etc.) but, between 0 and 1 there is another sequence of numbers (0.1, 0.2, 0.3, etc.) By default our human nature lives in the realm of the first sequence of numbers and that’s all it can comprehend. God operates in the second sequence. I equate the first number sequence as our outward appearance and the second as our heart. The biblical example of this can be found in the anointing of David as King over Israel in 1 Samuel Chapter 16. We find that Samuel thought that God was going to anoint Eliab as King, but God had another plan.

1 Samuel 16:7 says, But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. (AMP)

So there can be times when we think we are or someone else is on Zero but it is not absolute. It is 0.1 or 0.01, or even 0.001. It is at this 0.* that we find that as believers tares can be sown in our lives and we don’t know it until it is too late. So how can we find out and maintain Absolute Zero? The answer can be found in the Word of God. God took me to the book of Mathew chapter 7.

Mathew 7:7-8 says,Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.” (AMP, bold emphases added by me)

When we receive a breakthrough from God or an answered prayer, we shouldn’t take that time to slack off or “pull up” a little bit, but we should keep on asking, seeking, and knocking. It is by doing this that we can stay at Absolute Zero and not give the enemy any room to sow tares into our lives.

After God shared this with me I had to repent for all the times that I slacked off or pulled up. And I have resolved that I will stay on Mat. 7:7-8 because that is the only way that I can guarantee that I am at and maintaining absolute zero.  My prayer is that you too have resolved to live at Absolute Zero.
